Kid finds fluffy kitten crying for help in the middle of a snowstorm, he brings the freezing fur baby home and gives it a new family, the best Christmas gift of all : 'Enjoy your new baby'

Winter is an especially hard time for stray cats. The unpredictable weather, the cold temperatures, and the lack of suitable shelters makes surviving purrfectly difficult, depending on where they live. So, if you hear meowing outside as this kid did, definitely go check it out - you might just save the kitty's life.

In the middle of a snowstorm, a child stumbled upon a fluffy kitten crying for help outside their home. He brought the frozen fur baby inside, and the mom immediately jumped into action. She wrapped the baby in blankets to warm it up, gave it a safe place to recover, and was thinking, "What should we do next?" Luckily, the online cat community came to her rescue, giving her purrfect advice and encouraging her to keep the kitten (which we're pretty sure she was already planning on doing).

We don't have any updates on how the kitten is doing, as this story was uploaded quite recently, but we know what that kitten is going to be getting for Christmas - a whole lot of love, a new family, and hopefully, all the scritches it could ever want.

  • If you're cold, they're cold. Bring them in, even if you don't plan on keeping them. They're better off in a shelter where they might pawssibly get adopted than out in the wilderness.

    Kittens LOVE turkey flavored baby food, and it's easy for them to eat. Our cat had a respiratory infection and wouldn't eat, but the vet gave them one of these and they went crazy for it

  • This is an ameowzing point. Kittens are not lone creatures; they tend to stick together, especially at this age. Where there's one, there's most likely more. You wouldn't want their brothers and sisters to endure the snowstorm, would you?

    In the meantime, I set aside a specific room, a specific litter box, and some toys and a bed to allow this cat to get acclimated to our house and other animals.

    Enough_Commercial490 • 5h ago Cats are shockingly resilient. When I was a kid, we literally scraped a cat off the sidewalk that was frozen down to the concrete and put it under the woodstove to warm up. It lived many years after that.

    bambrose87 7h ago • omg poor baby!! keep it warm with a heating pad on low and try to get it to drink the kitten milk every few hours.. if u can get to a vet soon they can check for dehydration and see if it needs extra care.

    was solid like rigor mortis. I nudged it with my foot, just in case, and it let out the tiniest meow. The kitten was somehow still alive. It lived for 13 years. I gave it to my MIL and they bonded so hard. After the loss of my FIL it was just what she needed. I hope your new floof makes a full recovery too. Somebody in your life needs a floof bond.

    Pace-Superb . 6h ago First make sure the mom isn't around she would be looking for it. If not take it to the vet for a check up getting all vaccination shots etc. Be careful with what you give it. There is kitten food not older cat food I would give it water to make sure you don't hurt it's digestion system. A litter box some toys and a soft bed for it. Later a scratching post or pad and cat tower to allow it to climb. Good luck.
